Under DST- Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp
Under DST- Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp, three days activity was organized in School of Basic and Applied Sciences from 16.01.19 to 18.01.19.
The first day of the camp was devoted to lab activity, which was organized in Chemistry Lab and Engineering Kitchen. Several experiments like determination of milk adulteration, preparation of Aspirin by green method, flame tests, and crystal formation were conducted.
The second day of the DST activity was inaugurated by Professor Krishan Lal. Around 70 students including faculty from SBAS were present that day in moot court. It was followed by the talk of guest speaker Dr. S.K. Dhawan (CSIR-NPL ) on “Environmental Pollution: Challenges and Solutions”.
The third day was associated with the TERI visit of students. In this visit students found the chance to know about renewable solar energy production, Cooling of rooms without air conditioners with the help of air flow under 4m of deep tunnels, tissue culture, biogasifires and vermicomposting. Students had the opportunity to visit the self-sustainable organization, which treat their waste water and reuse solid wastes.
